We know we have a quality – built home because of extensive pre-planning & close cooperation during construction.  If new improvements/materials became available Jim was sure to share that information with us if we wished to use it.  

Asked if we would build another home with J.G. Madueña Homes we would answer yes, but we believe this will be our definitive home.  A friend of our asked us if we were still on speaking terms with the contractor at the conclusion.  We were shocked to hear the question because we come to consider the Madueñas  as extended family.  Our friend had not had a good experience with his builder.

We love to cook & entertain – Jim focused on our lifestyle when he designed our efficient kitchen & great room.  He was able to maximize the living space while staying within our budget.  Jim sat down with us and listened to what we wanted in a home.  He was able to translate our vision into a beautiful and efficient home.  I was amazed at the way he visualized exactly what we wanted.  Also, our home is so efficient in staying warm in the winter & cool in summer months that we rarely use AC or electric heat.

Outstanding attention to detail.  We’ve seen other houses going up in our area, built by others, and many seem sloppy compared with Jim’s work.  Things like brick work and tile work were especially well attended to.   There’s an overall sturdiness to our home that seems better than  others.

We say out loud several times a week, “Man, what a great house!”  Really, we do, even after 2 years! Great solid adobe walls – good windows-high quality roof, big garage, etc.
